COBB CAN MOVE Unblocked
- Horror
- Survival
- Roguelite
- Top-Down
The first rule is one line long: Cobb can move. That is all you get before the doors open, and it is enough, because Cobb does not need anything else — he does not have to see you, hear you or smell you. He simply arrives. Every level after that adds one more line to the list, and every line added is a thing Cobb can now do to you that he could not do before.
This is a top-down survival horror roguelite set in a dark, procedurally generated underground facility. You are a worker doing actual jobs — carrying coal to the furnace, flipping breakers, collecting batteries — while something with long arms walks the same corridors. The layout changes every run and so does the rule list, which means the thing that kept you alive on floor three is very likely the thing that kills you on floor four.
About COBB CAN MOVE
Cobb is a red, long-armed thing that lives in the dark and is afraid of light. That is his entire design, and it is what makes the fuel system the real antagonist: coal feeds the furnace and the lamps, darkness is what lets him close distance, so the most basic maintenance task in the game is also the thing that decides whether you survive the next ninety seconds.
The rule list is the game. Level one states one rule and the level starts with barely any tension, because you can learn it. By the final level Cobb can see, hear, smell, reach further, and duplicate — and the player gets their own constraints layered on top, like a hunger meter that has to be fed or a cold that has to be walked off. The difficulty is not that the game gets harder; it is that your safe habits stop being safe.
It does not tell you a story and that is deliberate. There is no exposition about who Cobb was or why he is down here. You get a few environmental hints — industrial or research corridors, red growths, a furnace room that functions as a landmark — and the rest you assemble yourself from what the levels let you notice. It is a roguelite that trusts you to be observant rather than loud.
How to Play COBB CAN MOVE
Read the rule list before every floor, then do your jobs. Move deliberately, keep light where you need to come back to, and never walk into a corridor you have not already worked out how to leave. The objective is always on screen; the difficulty is everything moving toward you while you do it.
- Read the rules, every time, before the door opens. The list is randomised per run, so a floor you cleared cleanly can hand you a different set entirely. Skipping the list is how a known floor kills you.
- Survey the first room before you take the first task. Identify the wide junctions, the one-door pockets, the conveyor lanes and where your exit will be. Most deaths happen in long dead-end corridors entered too late, not in open rooms.
- Keep the furnace and your light supply ahead of your movement. Coal feeds both the lamps and the furnace, and darkness is what lets him close. Running out of light with him still alive is the most common way to end a run.
- Throw a stone before you commit to a long route. A rock does not stop him for long — it stuns him and gives you a few seconds — but a few seconds is usually the difference between reaching the exit and not.

How to Beat COBB CAN MOVE
Cobb Can Move has no conventional ending you can reach on a first run. Story mode is seven floors that end with Cobb finally being killable, and the rule list is randomised per attempt — so the floor you memorise is not the floor you get.
Treat Floor One as the Control Group
The first floor is deliberately gentle: one rule, a compact layout, time to learn the interaction prompt and the shape of a shift. Learn the controls there without pressure, because everything after it assumes you can already carry coal and read a corridor at speed.
Learn Which Rules Actually Apply to You
The rule list is randomised each run, so the same floor can hand you sight or smell or duplication. When a floor kills you immediately, name the rule that did it before you retry — that one sentence is what turns a memory into a plan.
Plan the Route Before You Accept the Task
Every job you pick is a commitment to a part of the map. Decide what your return trip looks like before you leave, and keep an escape junction in mind. A corridor with a single entrance is a place you can only leave the same way you came in, which is exactly where runs end.
Save Stone for the Moment You Are Already Trapped
The stun window is short and using a rock early means not having it when you need it. Hold it for the room you cannot otherwise leave, and remember that throwing it at a wall does nothing at all — it has to land on him.
Important Items in COBB CAN MOVE
There is no weapon in COBB CAN MOVE. What you carry is fuel, light, food and distraction, and every item on the list either keeps the room visible or keeps you alive long enough to finish a task.
| Item | What it does |
|---|---|
| Coal | Feeds the blast furnace and the lamps. Without it rooms go dark, and dark is the only thing Cobb needs. The most important item in the game and the one you will run out of first. |
| Rocks | Thrown to distract or stun him for a few seconds. Can be dropped anywhere, and only work when they actually hit — a rock against a wall does nothing. |
| Carrots | Food for the hunger meter introduced in later floors. Long detours become genuinely dangerous once you have to eat, which changes how you plan a route well before you have met Cobb. |
| Batteries | Used to bring the furnace systems up in later floors, and the reason you end up deep in the map at all. Their exact role shifts with the level's active task set. |
COBB CAN MOVE Difficulty Modes
Cobb Can Move has no difficulty setting. What changes between runs is how many rules you have stacked on top of each other, which is randomised every time — and how long you keep the habits that worked on an easier floor.
| Mode | Best for |
|---|---|
| Story Mode | Learning the systems in the order the game intends |
| Endless Mode | Players who want the full escalation rather than the ending |
| Speedrun | Once the survival loop is automatic enough to be worth optimising |
Tips and Strategies for COBB CAN MOVE
Read the Rules Before the Doors Open, Every Single Time
The list is randomised per run, so a floor you have already beaten can hand you a completely different set. Ten seconds reading the list is the highest-value ten seconds in the game, and skipping it is the most common way a known floor kills you.
Keep Distance, and Remember Distance Is Visual
When reach, smell or line of sight becomes active, how far away Cobb looks on screen stops meaning how far away he is. Visual distance is misleading by design — you have to build the margin in before you need it, not react when it is gone.
Do Not Sprint Through the Route That Looks Safe
The obvious wide corridor is very often where the next rule does the most damage, because that is the room you relax in. Walk. The games reward remembering over reacting, and panic movement is what turns a survivable floor into a death.
Pause One Second When a Floor Changes
After each transition, stop and re-read. New floors add a rule, a hazard and a task set at the same time, and the instinct to run straight at the objective is what walks you into the one you did not know about.
COBB CAN MOVE FAQ
What is the rule in COBB CAN MOVE?
Cobb can move. That is the first rule, and it sounds like nothing until you realise he cannot see, hear or smell you at that point. Each later floor adds one more rule covering sight, hearing, smell, reach, duplication and freezing, and the list is randomised per attempt.
How do I beat COBB CAN MOVE?
Story mode is seven floors and ends with Cobb finally becoming killable if you fuel the furnace properly. There is no combat — the only way to end him is to burn him, and that requires coal, light and getting him into the furnace room.
Can Cobb be killed?
Not early on. He has no senses you can exploit until the floors grant them, and he can only be destroyed once a floor makes him vulnerable. Story mode builds toward that; endless mode keeps stacking rules instead.
What do the items actually do?
Coal feeds the furnace and the lamps, and darkness is what lets Cobb close distance. Rocks stun him briefly when they land on him. Carrots feed the hunger meter in later floors, and batteries bring the furnace systems up. There is no weapon.
Is COBB CAN MOVE the same map every time?
No. Both the level layout and the rule list are randomised per run, so a route you memorised from the previous attempt is not guaranteed to exist. This is what makes it a roguelite rather than a memorisation puzzle.
Does it work on mobile?
The browser build is responsive, but the game is designed around keyboard movement and is considerably fairer on a desktop or laptop. The official release also supports gamepads.
Why did the screen go black or stay blank?
A blank frame usually means the browser build is still starting or something is blocking it. Wait a few seconds, refresh once, and if you are running a hardened profile with privacy tools enabled, try a normal window because those can block the scripts or storage the game needs.
Is COBB CAN MOVE scary?
It is a survival horror game with real tension rather than gore — Cobb catches you with a lunging jump scare when he reaches you. There is no blood, and the fear comes from him gaining one more sense while you are still using the habits that worked two floors ago.
